Royal Canin Urinary Low Purine for adult dogs
Royal Canin Urinary Low Purine is a prescription food for adult dogs to reduce the formation of urate and cystine stones, thanks to its high quality protein and urine alkalinising properties. This food is indicated for the treatment of recurrences of metabolic stones (urate, xanthine or cystine), maintenance diet (especially in breeds at high risk of metabolic stones, such as Dalmatians) and support diet for dogs with leishmaniasis undergoing treatment with xanthine or oxidase inhibitors.
The amount of protein in this food (such as wheat flour or egg), combined with the production of alkaline urine, reduces the risk of urate stones. The patented complex consisting of a vitamin and an antioxidant reinforces the barrier effect of the skin. In this Royal Canin food, the combination of high quality protein in moderate amounts and restricted sodium levels helps to reduce the formation of cystine stones.
In addition, the synergistic antioxidant complex (vitamin E, vitamin C, taurine, lutein) contained in this food formula limits cellular degradation caused by free radicals, strengthens the immune system and prevents the effects of ageing in your pet to ensure normal development and a healthy, trouble-free life expectancy.
This product is contraindicated for pregnant or lactating bitches, growing puppies and dogs under treatment with urine acidifying drugs.
Remember that this is a medicated food and for curative purposes, so for no reason should you administer it to your pet without a prescription from your trusted veterinarian.
