Royal Canin Hepatic Feline is a complete and balanced dietary food specially formulated to help support liver function by providing all the nutrients needed by sick cats.

This energy food is very tasty and provides high energy density to avoid overloading the stomach. It is very palatable to ensure adequate consumption in cats with sensitive or reduced appetite. Its low copper content helps to reduce copper accumulation in liver cells, and its antioxidant complex helps to fight free radicals. This food creates an unfavourable urinary environment for the formation of calcium oxalate and struvite stones, thus supporting the urinary health of these sick cats.

It is especially indicated for: Cholangitis, Cholestasis, Portosystemic shunt, Hepatic encephalopathy, Copper metabolism disorders and Hepatic failure.

Its contraindications are for cases of:

Gestation, lactation and growth, Hyperlipidaemia, Hepatic lipidosis (except if associated with hepatic encephalopathy). The duration of treatment varies depending on the pathology. It is recommended to review the diet every 6 months under the supervision of your veterinarian. In certain cases of chronic disease it may be given as a daily food for life.
