Royal Canin Persian Adult Cat Food is a complete food specifically formulated to care for their coat and digestive system. Persian cats, due to the length of their coat and their particular facial features (brachycephalic type), have specific nutritional needs that this food covers in an optimal way.
Flat-faced cats use more of the lower part of their tongue to catch the kibble and need to try more times to do so than other cats. Royal Canin Persian's almond-shaped kibble allows full contact with the tongue, so it is adapted to the way this breed eats, making it easier for them to grasp the kibble.
The cumulative length of a Persian cat's coat is 370 km of hair. Thanks to Royal Canin Persian food, which includes beet pulp, psyllium, FOS and MOS in its formula, our felines will find it easier to evacuate ingested hairballs. In addition, this food strengthens the skin's barrier function, provides healthy skin and coat and maintains natural defences thanks to its fatty acid content and exclusive antioxidant complex.
The risk of developing calcium oxalate stones is 2.5 times higher in Persian cats than in the general cat population, so they should be fed a food that can alkalinise the urine.
