Our Green Lipped Mussel (Perna canaliculus) is a 100% natural product, freeze-dried to preserve its nutrients. It comes in powder form and contains only the fleshy part of the mussel, without the shell. Its glycosaminoglycan (amino-sugar compound) content is important for the soft structure of the joints (cartilage and synovial capsules). Due to its natural taurine content, it is a perfect product also for cats, although it does not eliminate the need for additional taurine supplementation. Important: food supplements are not in themselves suitable for treating diseases but at most influence a correct treatment which should only be the responsibility of your veterinarian.

One level measuring spoon contains approximately 2.8 grams of product. Depending on the intensity of the complaints: Cats and very small dogs (approx. 5 kg body weight): approx. 0.5 - 1.5 grams per day (one third of a measuring spoon). Small dogs (approx. 10 kg body weight): approx. 1 - 3 grams per day (one third - 1 measuring spoon). Medium dogs (approx. 25 kg body weight): approx. 2.5 - 7.5 grams per day (1 - 2.5 measuring spoons). Large dogs (approx. 50 kg body weight): approx. 5 - 15 grams per day (2 - 5 measuring spoons).
