It is an oil with antiseptic properties for respiratory tract flu and bronchitis. It is upper respiratory tract decongestant (sinusitis).

The essential oil of Pinus silvestris is cortico-stimulating and asthenic. It is an antibacterial and antifungal. It is also a surrenalo-mimetic, a respiratory antiseptic and an anti-infective terpenoid.

This essential oil is also expectorant, balsamic, oxygenating, rubefacient and percutaneous analgesic. It is a local healing and anti-inflammatory. It is also hypertensive and lymphatic decongestant.

The Scots pine provides an essential oil known since long ago by our grandmothers, even then, enjoyed the balsamic action on the lungs by inhaling essential oil from northern climates. It appreciates the mountains, sandy or gravelly soils; it has a purple-gray bark, needle-shaped leaves, hard, yellow male and female flowers ovoid cone red and green and brown at maturity.
