Orijen Cat & Kitten is a natural food from Canada, which aims to provide all cats with excellent quality food, with wholegrain ingredients and a composition that resembles that of food in the wild. Unlike other cat foods, Orijen Kitten does not contain cereal grains, which are not part of a cat's natural diet. Cats are naturally carnivores and need a diet high in animal protein and low in carbohydrates. Cat and Kitten Orijen has 40% protein from naturally grain-fed chicken, river and ocean-caught fish and whole eggs. In addition, several wild herbs are included in the formula to improve and stimulate the digestive system, strengthen the liver and control insulin levels.
The necessary percentage of carbohydrates is not made up of cereal grains, but of vegetables and fruits that provide antioxidants, vitamins and phytochemicals that stimulate immunity and good development. With a light infusion of flaxseed and salmon oils, Orijen Kitten provides a perfect balance of essential fatty acids including DHA and EPA, to boost immunity while nourishing the skin and coat.
