Olfen Forte 23.2 mg/g Skin Gel 1 Tube, 50 grams

Olfen Forte is a medicine in the form of a skin gel formulated with the active ingredient diclofenac, which belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), for the short-term local and symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain in acute strains, sprains or bruises after blunt trauma.

It comes in a convenient tube containing 50 grams of product.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.

This medicine is used twice a day (preferably in the morning and evening), depending on the size of the affected area to be treated, an amount the size of a cherry or a walnut is required, corresponding to 1 - 4 g of gel.

The maximum daily dose is 8 grams of gel.

Do not use Olfen Forte:

• In children under 14 years of age.
• If you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have ever developed breathing problems (asthma, bronchospasm), hives, runny nose or swelling of the face or tongue after taking/using aspirin or another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen),
• On open wounds, inflammations or infections of the skin as well as on eczema or mucous membranes.
• In the last trimester of pregnancy.

As with all medicines on the market, Olfen Forte may cause side effects. In this case, the following have been observed:

• Frequent: Skin rash, itching, redness, eczema, dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) including contact dermatitis.
• Rare: Peeling, skin dehydration, swelling (oedema).
• Very rare: pustular rash, gastrointestinal discomfort, hypersensitivity reactions (including urticaria), sensitivity to light with appearance of skin reactions after exposure to sunlight.

The active substance in Olfen Forte is diclofenac. Each gram of gel contains 1 gram contains 23.2 mg diclofenac diethylamine equivalent to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.

The other ingredients are isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol (E1520), cocoyl capryl caprylcaprate, liquid paraffin, carbomer, macrogol ketostearyl ether, diethylamine, oleic acid (E570), oleyl acid (E570), and oleoic acid (E570).oleic acid (E570), butylated hydroxytoluene (E321), fragrance (containing citronellol, geraniol, benzyl alcohol (E1519), linalool, limonene, citral, farnesol, coumarin, eugenol), purified water.

Olfen Forte is a white or almost white, homogeneous skin gel, which should be applied to healthy skin with a gentle massage for better absorption. Wait for the product to be completely absorbed before bathing or showering.
