Olfen Forte 23,2 mg/g Skin Gel 1 Tube, 100 g

Olfen Forte is a gel medicine for skin use formulated with diclofenac, an active substance that belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used for the short-term local and symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain in acute strains, sprains or bruises following blunt trauma.

It comes in a 100 g tube pack.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.

Apply a small amount of product to the area to be treated. A quantity the size of a cherry or a walnut is required, corresponding to 1 or 4 g of gel.

It is recommended to use the product twice a day, preferably in the morning and evening.

The maximum dose is 8 grams of gel/day.

Do not use Olfen Forte:

• In children under 14 years of age.
• In case of allergy to diclofenac or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have ever developed breathing problems (asthma, bronchospasm), hives, runny nose or swelling of the face or tongue after taking/using aspirin or another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen),
• On open wounds, inflammations or infections of the skin as well as on eczema or mucous membranes.
• In the last trimester of pregnancy.

As with all medicines on the market, Olfen Forte may cause side effects. In this case, the following have been observed:

• Frequent: Skin rash, itching, redness, eczema, dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) including contact dermatitis.
• Rare: Peeling, skin dehydration, swelling (oedema).
• Very rare: pustular rash, gastrointestinal discomfort, hypersensitivity reactions (including urticaria), sensitivity to light with appearance of skin reactions after exposure to sunlight.

The active substance in Olfen Forte is diclofenac. Each gram of gel contains 1 gram contains 23.2 mg diclofenac diethylamine equivalent to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.

The other ingredients are isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol (E1520), cocoyl capryl caprylcaprate, liquid paraffin, carbomer, macrogol ketostearyl ether, diethylamine, oleic acid (E570), oleyl acid (E570), and oleoic acid (E570).oleic acid (E570), butylated hydroxytoluene (E321), fragrance (containing citronellol, geraniol, benzyl alcohol (E1519), linalool, limonene, citral, farnesol, coumarin, eugenol), purified water.

Olfen Forte is a white or almost white, homogeneous skin gel, which should be applied to healthy skin with a gentle massage for better absorption. Wait for the product to be completely absorbed before bathing or showering.
