Nasalvicks 0.5 mg/ml Nasal Nebuliser, 15 ml

It is a Vicks nasal spray formulated with oxymetazoline, an active ingredient indicated for the relief of nasal congestion symptoms associated with colds or rhinitis.

It has a convenient format and an easy application, whose anti-congestive effect lasts up to 12 hours.

Specially formulated to relieve the symptoms of nasal congestion in adults and children from 6 years of age.

The recommended dose of NasalVicks varies according to the age of the patient.

• Adults and children from 10 years of age: apply 1-2 sprays in each nostril no more than 2-3 times a day.
• Children aged 6 to 10 years: apply 1 spray into each nostril no more than 2-3 times a day.

Do not use this medicine for more than 5-7 consecutive days. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 days of treatment, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.

Do not use NasalVicks :

• In children under 6 years of age.
• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients present in this medicine.
• In patients who are taking or have taken during the last 2 weeks monoamine oxidase inhibitors, which are used to treat diseases such as Parkinson's disease and depression.
• In patients with acute heart disease or cardiac asthma.
• Also not for use in patients with elevated eye pressure (narrow-angle glaucoma).
• In those who have had their pituitary gland removed.
• In patients with inflammation of the skin and nasal mucosa or with crusting inside the nose (dry rhinitis).

NasalVicks may cause side effects, as with all medicines on the market. This does not mean that all people will experience them, although in this case they have been observed:

• Infrequent: sneezing and dryness and irritation of the nose, mouth or throat.
• Rare: anxiety, fatigue, irritability, sleep disturbances, increased heart rate, palpitations, increased blood pressure, nasal congestion, swelling of the nasal mucosa, headache, nausea, flushing, rash and visual disturbances.

The active substance in NasalVicks is Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml. Specifically, one spray (equivalent to 0.05 ml) contains approximately 25 micrograms of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. The other excipients are: sorbitol, sodium citrate, polysorbate 80, benzyl alcohol, citric acid anhydrous, benzalkonium chloride, acesulfame potassium, levomenthol, cineol, edetate disodium, dried aloe extract, levocarbon, - and purified water.

Vicks Nasal Spray comes in a pump bottle for nasal application.

Use for longer periods than recommended may cause increased nasal congestion.
