The Swing Maxi™ Hands-free breast pump is designed for easy cleaning. The portable cups have only 3 parts to clean (cup, membrane, funnel) and are suitable for cleaning in the top rack of the dishwasher only. If necessary, the extractor and the outside of the tube can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The breast pump has a closed system so that milk cannot get into the tube as long as it is used according to the instructions. Do not clean or rinse the inside of the tube under any circumstances. Hands-free collection cups should be boiled for 10 minutes before first use, washed after each use (by hand or in the dishwasher) and disinfected once a day (boil for 10 minutes or steam disinfection). Always allow all parts to dry completely on a clean towel. The Medela Personal Breast Pump has a closed system so that milk cannot get into the tube when used according to the instructions. Do not clean or rinse the inside of the tube under any circumstances. If it is dirty, you can wipe the outside of the tube with a damp cloth.
