Lunafem 28 Soft Capsules

It is a medicine formulated with vitamins, minerals and trace elements that is used to prevent disorders during pregnancy and breastfeeding caused by a deficient diet or imbalances of vitamins or minerals.

Designed to treat vitamin or mineral deficiencies that may occur during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The usual dose is 1 capsule per day, with some liquid, preferably with a meal. In case of morning sickness, it is recommended to take it at midday or in the afternoon.

Do not use Lunafem:

• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have hypervitaminosis (excessive amount) of vitamin A or D.
• If you have a kidney malfunction.
• If you have a build-up of iron.
• If you have hypercalcaemia (increased levels of calcium in the blood) or hypercalciuria (increased calcium excretion in the urine).
• If you have or have had kidney stones.
• This medicine contains peanut oil (arachis oil) and soya oil. It should not be used if you are allergic to peanuts or soya.

Like all medicines, Lunafem may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In particular, the following has been observed:

• Digestive disturbances may occur in some cases, which disappear in most cases without having to stop taking this medicine.
• Allergic reactions have also been reported very occasionally, including: skin rash, swelling of the skin and mucous membranes (nose, mouth, etc.) and urticaria (hives and itching).
• May cause a dark discolouration of the faeces, which is of no importance, due to its high iron content.

Each Lunafem capsule contains the following active ingredients:Retinol (Vitamin A) 2664 IU (as 2664 IU (2.66 mg) retinyl palmitate), Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 400 IU, Alpha-Tocopherol (Vitamin E) 6.70 mg (as 10 mg DL-alpha tocopherol acetate),Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 70 mg, Thiamine (Vitamin B1) 2,76 mg (as 3 mg thiamine mononitrate), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 3,4 mg,Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) 17 mg, Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 3,29 mg (as 4 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride), Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 2,2 micrograms, Folic acid 60 mg, Iron 30 mg, Iron 30 mg.Iron 30 mg (as 91,27 mg ferrous fumarate), Zinc 15 mg (as 18,67 mg zinc oxide), Calcium 125 mg (as 311,95 mg calcium carbonate).

The other excipients are: soybean oil and lecithin, mixed glycerides of saturated fatty acids, gelatin, sorbitol (E-420), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-216), titanium dioxide (E-171), iron oxide black (E-172), iron oxide red (E-172), iron oxide red (E-172), iron oxide red (E-172).iron oxide red (E-172), glycerol (E-422), peanut oil (arachis oil), alpha-tocopherol, triglycerides with medium chain fatty acids, trisodium citrate, citric acid, maltodextrin and purified water.

This medicine is presented in the form of soft capsules which are indicated for the treatment and prevention of vitamin and mineral deficiency states that may occur in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
