Keratin is a natural protein that makes up 95% of the hair fibre. Essential for the health of the hair, it protects it from damage and gives it elasticity and shine. With time and repeated mechanical and chemical treatments (colouring, brushing, straightening), keratin becomes badly damaged, the fibre is no longer smooth and even, resulting in dull, coarse, split and broken hair.
