Lacteol 10 Hard Capsules

It is a probiotic designed to restore the balance of the intestinal microbiota/flora, and is therefore indicated for the relief and treatment of non-specific diarrhoeal processes or those associated with taking antibiotics.

It comes in a convenient pack of 10 capsules.

Suitable for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.

Take 1 or 2 capsules a day as needed. In the case of taking two, the doses should be separated for at least 12 hours.

Do not use Lacteol:

• In case of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients of the medicinal product, lactose or milk.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, as the effect is unknown.

As with all medicines, Lacteol may cause side effects. Specifically, the following have been observed:

• Skin rash, belching, gas, hiccups.

Lacteol contains as active substance 10 billion *Lactobacillus acidophilus (dead) bacteria (as 340 mg freeze-dried powdered bacterial bodies of Lactobacillus acidophilus strain Lacteol (LB), dead in their culture medium, fermented and neutralised).

* Lactobacillus fermentum and Lactobacillus delbrueckii.

The other excipients are: lactose, silicic acid, talc, magnesium stearate, calcium carbonate (E-170). Capsule composition: gelatine, water, titanium dioxide (E-171).

It is advisable to take when antibiotics are administered. It should be taken separately from the antibiotic, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after.

It is recommended to accompany the treatment with an astringent diet and oral rehydration solution.
