Composition

Probiotics are live, non-pathogenic microorganisms that are administered to improve microbial balance, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. They are found in some fermented foods, such as yoghurt or cheese. They exert their beneficial effects through a variety of mechanisms, such as decreasing colonisation and invasion by pathogenic organisms, and modifying the host's immune response.

Inulin A fibre found in fruits, vegetables and cereals, which has the ability to modulate the gut microbiota, hence its prebiotic effect. In high doses, it has lipid-lowering and blood glucose-lowering benefits. It is a key ingredient in maximising the effects of probiotic strains.

Tributyrin (CoreBiome®) Tributyrin is one of the most prominent prodrugs of butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid, which is produced by intestinal bacteria during fermentation. It helps maintain the intestinal lining. It is known as a post-biotic because it boosts probiotic strains.

Zinc An essential element that contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system by stimulating the formation of white blood cells. It is also involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fatty acids, as well as in DNA and protein synthesis. The production of keratin depends on its presence, hence its role in hair growth.
