Its characteristics are as follows: Made of aluminium and soft touch grips (TPR) Adjustable in height: 85 -100 cm Folded measurement: 55 cm Maximum weight: 100 kg Diameter of the tip: 19 mm. Tip reference: 81519 Supplied in PAIRS Available in black and different designs HERA-CV Code: EMS 000A-508 SIRPO Code: E0006737 English canes are part of the group of support products used in situations of illness where the patient requires relief of one of the lower limbs, a greater base of support and safer ambulation. With few exceptions or because the medical prescription states otherwise, when only an English cane is used, it should be carried on the opposite side of the injury. In this way, the patient will be better supported by unloading the affected limb more effectively. In order to achieve a safer gait, the patient must have good muscle capacity and trunk balance. The height should be adjusted so that the forearm brace does not block the elbow joint. For this purpose, it shall be placed on the posteroproximal part of the forearm at a distance of approximately 5 cm from the elbow joint. There is a wide variety of English walking sticks: integral, with folding elbow pad, anatomical grip... The state of the tip should be checked frequently, as once the rubber starts to wear out, the risk of falling increases and the walking stick loses grip and therefore stability.
