Farmalastic has manufactured the men's long sock in order to provide normal compression. It comes in black and is a medium size (24 to 25 cm at the ankle and 37 to 39 cm at the calf).
The stocking made by Farmalastic serves to gently compress the legs. It helps to improve blood circulation in the lower limbs, making it circulate to the upper limbs.
Normal compression stockings contribute to the prevention of swelling and, in some cases, decrease the formation of blood clots. They exert a medium level of pressure that facilitates recovery after venous surgery and sclerotherapy.
This garment is designed with a tightly woven fabric that allows the skin to perspire, as it contains cotton in its manufacture. It also has a band made of undecorated silicone. It is recommended to treat chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition caused when the valves in the veins function improperly. It is also prescribed for primary and secondary varicosis.
It is also recommended for pathologies associated with the lymphatic system, such as oedema. It helps in the treatment of thrombophlebitis, phlebothrombosis and post-thrombotic syndromes. Relieves discomfort caused by fluid accumulation in the body due to the inability to drain lymph. Minimises the effects of lipedema (abnormal accumulation of subcutaneous adipose tissue).
It is useful for improving some vascular disorders caused by immobility. This medical device is reusable. It can be washed by hand with neutral soap and water (temperature below 30 ºC). Do not place directly under direct sunlight, on radiators or heat sources. To preserve its properties, it should not be ironed, as it loses its elasticity.
The Farmalastic men's normal compression stocking medium size black is indicated for men with disorders that cause pain, swelling and a feeling of heaviness in the legs.
Clean and dry the skin thoroughly before putting on the stockings. Put the heel of the garment in position and then pull it up progressively. Make sure they are not bunched up or wrinkled as this can reduce compression. It is important to choose the right size for your measurements.
If any cream or lotion has been applied to the legs, wait for it to dry completely, as these products can make it difficult to put the garment on.
The use of these stockings is not recommended in cases of advanced peripheral arterial obstructive pathologies, decompensated heart failure, septic phlebitis or phlegmasia cerulea dolens. They are also not indicated for people with advanced peripheral neuropathy due to diabetes mellitus.
