Evotears eye drops are a non-aqueous, preservative-free ophthalmic solution that helps to improve the symptoms of dry eye, minimises eye discomfort and the pain it can cause. It facilitates lubrication of the ocular surface. Enables reconstruction of the tear film. Forms part of the treatment to help lessen the severe or moderate symptoms that accompany dry eye. Its formula contains only perfluorohexyloctane, without water or emulsifiers. The eye drops support the formation of a barrier that seals the ocular surface and helps extend the time the eye holds solutions that have been applied and even its own natural tears. The main ingredient perfluorohexyloctane is responsible for lowering the temperature of the cornea and thus causing an increase in tears and blinking, which ultimately helps to evenly distribute the tears.
Dry eye occurs when not enough tears are produced or when those that are produced do not perform their intended function. Artificial tears help in this process to properly hydrate the surface of the eye and put an end to the discomfort. It is a phosphate-free product. It comes in a 3 ml format.
It is indicated to treat mild to moderate symptoms of dry eye in adults.
