Corysan Anatomical Wedge Urinal

The wedge urinal with an anatomical format manufactured by Corysan is a product for sanitary use, designed to help collect urine or faeces from people in bed or with motor difficulties. Its design can be fitted into various washing devices found in hospitals to facilitate the whole process.

It has a wedge shape, with one side designed so that the liquid falls out and does not bounce out, but falls down and slides into the deep side. In the case of faeces, the product is designed with an anatomical shape so that the faeces are deposited directly into the deep part.

It has a handle for easy handling by medical staff. The material of which the urinal is made is a rigid plastic that is highly resistant to both knocks and contact with cleaning products such as detergents and bleach. In addition, it can be easily sterilised in an autoclave or using suitable products.

The plastic is also waterproof, so urine will easily slide off the product and will not cause stains if removed in a timely manner. It is completely reusable and, being made of a durable material, has a long shelf life if administered correctly and optimally.

It is mainly indicated to assist in the cleanliness and sanitation of people who cannot go to a toilet to relieve themselves.

It is recommended to wash it properly before and after each use. To use it, it is recommended to fit it in hospital washing systems, where the patient will evacuate, either urine or faeces. Once the person has relieved themselves, the urinal is carefully removed for proper disposal of the contents.

It is advisable to handle the product using clean gloves or wash hands before and after handling.

Never bring near intense heat sources, as although resistant, the material may begin to deform when exposed to more than 90 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid storing urine or faeces for long periods of time; it is best to dispose of them or reserve them in suitable containers immediately. Discontinue use if any unfavourable reaction or contamination of urine or faeces samples is observed.
