Dermitol is a dermatological shampoo manufactured by Calier. It has sanitising properties and helps to cleanse the skin of pets and can also reduce the development and proliferation of microbes. It is suitable for dogs of any size and breed.
Calier Dermitol shampoo has been created with the cleaning and disinfection of pets, specifically dogs, in mind. It acts as a keratoplastic to help the regeneration of the horny layer.
Thanks to its high aloe vera content, it is able to deeply moisturise the coat. It has emollient effects, leaving the skin layer softer and healthier. It is used to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis, a condition that causes scales to adhere to the skin and coat.
It is also useful for dry seborrhoea. It improves its symptoms, reducing dandruff, hyperpigmentation, redness and hair loss or alopecia. This product contains Ichtyol lactate with sulphur-rich oil, an ingredient with keratolytic properties.
It works as a complementary treatment for canine oily seborrhoea, which is characterised by excessive greasiness and dullness of the coat. Relieves discomfort caused by irritation, dryness and the need for constant scratching.
It has comedolytic action, so it helps to delay the creation of comedones or to make them disappear if they have already formed. It contains salicylic acid, a component that helps balance the skin barrier.
To soothe and refresh the epidermis, menthol has been added to the formula. This substance relieves itching, neutralises unpleasant odours and has analgesic functions. The formulation contains mild surfactants and liposomes that contribute to skin conditioning and suppleness.
Calier Dermitol shampoo is indicated to cleanse pets, especially dogs suffering from seborrhoeic processes (dry seborrhoea, oily seborrhoea and seborrhoeic dermatitis).
Wet the dog's coat with plenty of lukewarm water. Then apply the shampoo and rub in until it foams. Rinse and reapply, leaving the product to act for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse again to remove any remaining product.
There is no information regarding side effects when applying the shampoo. If any adverse reaction is observed, it is advisable to discontinue use and consult a specialist. In the same way, if symptoms persist after finishing the treatment, it is advisable to take the pet to the vet.
