Buscapine 6 Suppositories

What is Buscapina suppositories and what is it used for?

Treatment of spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, spasms and motility disorders (dyskinesias) of the biliary tract and spasms of the genito-urinary tract, in adults and children over 6 years of age .

Who it is intended for

Adults and children over 6 years of age

How to use

Administer 1 or 2 suppositories, 3 to 5 times a day.

Contraindications

Do not use Buscapina suppositories:

- In children under 6 years of age.

- In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components.

- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding and have not previously consulted a doctor.

Precautions

Take special care if you have ever suffered from:

- Increased eye pressure (narrow-angle glaucoma).

-Tachycardia.

- Intestinal or urinary obstructions.

- Prostatic hypertrophy with urinary retention.

If you have suffered from the above-mentioned diseases at the time of treatment, consult your doctor.

Side effects

Likeall medicines, Buscapine suppositories may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them.

The side effects described are:

- Rare (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): skin reactions, hives, itching, rapid heartbeat, dry mouth, abnormal sweating.

- Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people): difficulty urinating ( urinary retention ).

- Frequency not known (cannot be estimated from available data): shock caused by a severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock), reaction caused by an allergy (anaphylactic reaction), difficulty breathing (dyspnoea), skin rash (exanthema), skin redness (erythema), hypersensitivity.
