Apply in the evening to a clean, dry face as soon as blemishes appear and until they disappear, for up to 15 days of use. Sun protection is essential: due to the exfoliating and renewing active ingredients (glycolic acid, retinaldehyde), the skin is more sensitive to the sun. Use a good sunscreen every morning.
Complementary routine: Follow with a gentle cleanser (preferably from Avène's Cleanance line) and a light, non-comedogenic moisturiser to maintain the cutaneous barrier.
Moderate frequency: Although the formula is intensive, on sensitive skin it may be prudent to start with 2-3 nights/week and observe tolerance before applying every night.
Avoid aggressive combinations: As it contains chemical exfoliants (glycolic acid) + retinoid (retinaldehyde), it is not recommended to combine simultaneously with other strong acids, additional retinoids, home peels or aggressive exfoliating dermocosmetics to minimise the risk of irritation. In fact, it is common to alternate such actives to avoid over-exfoliation and irritation.
Observe signs of irritation: If intense redness, excessive peeling, burning or persistent discomfort appear, discontinue treatment and consult a dermatologist.
