What is it and what is it for?

Dedil Acofar N-2 is a product for medical or laboratory use consisting of a set of 12 individually packaged latex fingertips. A thimble is a small glove that covers the finger and is used to protect the finger from contamination or to apply medication or substances to a specific area of the body or surface. The term "N-2" refers to the size of the thimble, which in this case is the second smallest on the standard size scale. Latex thimbles are commonly used in medical or laboratory procedures requiring high precision and sterility, and are also useful in cleaning and handling small and delicate objects. They are elastic and tear-resistant, allowing them to fit comfortably on the finger and protect it from contamination. They are sterile, which means they are designed for use in medical or laboratory procedures that require a microorganism-free environment.

Who is it suitable for?

Acofar N-2 fingersticks of 12 units are indicated for use in different medical and laboratory situations or those requiring the manipulation of small objects.

Instructions for use

  1. Wash your hands with soap and water before opening the package of thimbles.
  2. Open the thimble pack and take one of the thimbles carefully.
  3. Unroll the latex thimble and make sure it is fully extended.
  4. Insert your finger into the latex thimble and adjust the thimble until it is snug and securely in place.
  5. Use the thimble to perform the task at hand, such as taking a blood sample or handling a small object.
  6. After using the thimble, carefully remove the thimble from your finger and dispose of it in a suitable place.

Contraindications

Latex allergies can range in severity from mild skin irritation to a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction. It is therefore important that people with known latex allergies avoid the use of latex thimbles and seek suitable alternative protection.

Individuals who experience symptoms of allergic reactions during use of the thimbles, such as itching, swelling or redness, should remove the thimble immediately and seek medical attention if the reaction worsens or persists.
