3M Nexcare ColdHot Happy Kids is a hot/cold therapy pack, consisting of 2 pads (blue and yellow) and 2 protective covers that fit over the pads. These include pictures to entertain children during use.

These compresses help to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain. They can be used in situations such as dental pain, sprains, bruises and minor bumps.

In other cases, they can also be used to reduce the effects of nosebleeds, swelling and insect bites.

When used in heat therapy, they reduce muscle spasms, soothe pain and relax muscle tension; they can also be used simply to warm the hands.

3M Nexcare ColdHot Happy Kids are designed to apply hot and cold treatments when it is necessary to relieve pain in children who have suffered bumps, minor burns or sprains.

There are two types of 3M Nexcare ColdHot Happy Kids, hot or cold. When you need a cold compress you should take the following steps.

• Store in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 2 hours before use.
• Place the gel wrap on a clean cover or towel before applying it to the skin.
• Keep it on the site of pain for up to 20 minutes.
• Wait approximately 20 minutes before applying the poultice again.

To keep the gel wrap always available it is recommended to store it in the refrigerator or freezer.

In the case of heat therapy you can use the following.

In the microwave oven:

• Place the compress flat in the microwave.
• Set the power setting to 640 W and heat for a maximum of 5 to 30 seconds.
• Carefully remove the compress from the microwave while simultaneously kneading to distribute the heat evenly.

With hot water:

• Boil water in a pot or pan and after turning off the heat source immerse the gel pack for 90 seconds.
• Remove from the water and knead to distribute the heat evenly.

It is always advisable to wrap the compress with a clean cover or towel before applying it to the skin.

• Do not use on damaged or sensitive skin.
• Do not use in case of circulatory problems.
• Avoid frostbite and superficial nerve damage.
